Exploring the Maya World of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
A Maya Exploration Center travel course led by Dr. Michael Grofe

This course is designed for students of varying levels to learn about Ancient Maya Civilization. A 8-day adventure explore the upper part of the Yucatan Peninsula, cross the area from coast to coast. Starting and ending in Playa del Carmen, students will explore the ruins of Coba, Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Ek Balam and Tulum. Aside from ruins, the course will visit the new Interactive Maya Musuem in Merida and world famous Maya ceramic artist Patricia Martin Morales in the village of Muna. Evening lectures by Dr. Grofe will compliment the sites seen during day trips.
